A Queer Art Exhibition

We are thrilled to announce our 5th Annual Pride in Art call for submissions, a ground-breaking exhibition celebrating queer art and culture. Uphold aims to explore and celebrate the diverse experiences, identities, and narratives within the LGBTQ+ community and allies through various art forms. We invite artists from all backgrounds to submit their work and actively participate in this powerful exhibition.

Theme: The theme of Uphold revolves around the idea of resilience, strength, and the act of rising above adversity. We encourage artists to explore concepts such as self-discovery, authenticity, personal narratives, social justice, and the LGBTQ+ experience. This exhibition aims to showcase the triumphs and challenges faced by queer individuals and its community, ultimately promoting inclusivity, unity, and self-expression.

Artistic mediums: We want to welcome submissions including, but not limited to, paintings, drawings, mixed media, 2D and 3D pieces, photography, mixed media, digital art, video/recorded performance art, film, etc.

We seek artworks that go beneath the surface to reveal aspects of the subjects that usually remain hidden.

We encourage artists to explore diverse techniques and the boundaries of their chosen medium to create impactful art that resonates with the audience.

Eligibility: Uphold is open to artists from all walks of life, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. We strongly encourage submissions from emerging artists, underrepresented communities, and artists with diverse backgrounds.

No previous gallery or exhibition experience is required to participate in this show.

Submission: For detailed information on how to apply please read the sections below, Call for Submission Requirements, and Submission (How to Submit Your Work).
